This milestone is a direct result of BioCirc’s success in securing a major share of the NECCS fund tender earlier this year, further strengthening our role in advancing the green transition. Over the course of the project, BioCirc will contribute up to 1 million tons of permanently stored biogenic CO₂. Our collaboration with INEOS Energy and Greensand Future ensures that captured biogenic CO₂ will be securely stored 1,800 meters beneath the seabed in the Nini West reservoir.

We are excited to announce our first-ever PPA with DLG Group, marking a significant milestone for BioCirc as we power the green transition. The 10-year agreement will see DLG Group sourcing 50% of its annual electricity consumption in Denmark – equivalent to approximately 60 GWh. The PPA is based on production from two new solar parks, which are expected to be operational in 2025 and 2026.

We are launching a new sand-washing technology designed to revolutionize manure management in Denmark’s dairy sector.
This standalone, plug-and-play system allows farmers using sand in cow bedding to easily prepare manure for biogas production.

BioCirc is set to capture and permanently store over 1,000,000 tons of biogenic CO2 from our biogas production. The captured CO2 will be permanently stored, reducing the atmospheric concentration of CO2. The project, which is set to be the largest of its kind from biogas to date, supports our mission to displace carbon emissions by integrating cutting-edge technology into our operations.

We are bringing one of Denmark’s pioneering plants into the group. BioCirc’s annual biogas production thus comes to approximately DKK 155 million. cubic meters of green gas, which moves our business closer to the goal of being the world’s largest producer.

With the acquisition, BioCirc takes a significant step in our mission to promote the green transition. When the handling is approved by the competition authorities, the production capacity of the six biogas plants will be over 140 million. m3.

Biocirc will develop 575 hectares of land and build a circular energy island that will make Viborg almost 100% green. The agricultural group DLG is now making its largest investment to date in the green transition and becoming a co-owner of the energy company.

Farmer-owned DLG invests three-digit million sums in biogas plants and ensures supplies of biomass for production. DLG will become a co-owner of the large biogas producer Biocirc, which is owned by wealthy families, and must practically ensure deliveries of biomass to the five production plants.
